The new RDD in the light of the anti-crime package: criminal resurgence, criminological aspects and human rights violations

Abstract

This article intends to analyze the changes that the nominated Anti-crime Package brought to the Differentiated Disciplinary Regime and what consequences to the criminology, human rights and criminal law. In the beginning it was important to explain the historical of the RDD and in what circumstances it was created. In sequence, the Pacote Anticrime and the changes were critically deepened by the perspective of a law that became the RDD totally punitivist. In addition, the changes demonstrated that the human rights were being violated, especially the right to freedom colligated with the isolation that this new law is proposing, that can easily call madness.
